Company Overview
|
Concordia Bank opened for business on July 2, 1932, after Concordia's two existing banks failed during the Great Depression. Beginning with capital stock of $25,000, the bank has grown and prospered, now boasting three locations.
The main banking office and the drive facility, which opened in 1983, are both located in Concordia, Missouri, just 55 miles east of Kansas City on I-70. Concordia is an agriculturally based community, rich with the German heritage of the original settlers of the area who immigrated here in the early 1860's. The word concordia means harmony. Hearts in Harmony is the motto of the city of Concordia, and harmony is the foundation of Concordia Bank's commitment to our customers and the communities in which we operate.
The Laurie Office of Concordia Bank began operation in March, 2001. Both retirees and young families who love the water are drawn to the Lake of the Ozarks region. This population growth has created a commercial and real estate boom in the area. Concordia Bank is there to supply the same high quality banking and lending services that our customers have grown to expect. The Laurie area can boast the beauty of the Ozarks and the friendly atmosphere of a small town without fear of being left behind by the modern world.
Concordia Bank is an independently owned community bank, priding itself on offering modern banking service with old-fashioned customer care. We were established to serve the financial needs of our customers, and no line of financial service is beyond our charter in reaching that goal.
